Beelzebub! With Gordon Harper.

Will and Madryn summon the secrets of Beelzebub! The literal Lord of the Flies! We unpack the history of this gluttonous Prince of Darkness, from his fall from grace and banishment of the Prime Evils, to his formation of the Order of the Fly. This Supreme Monarch of the Inferno has inspired all sorts of pop culture, including a supernatural detective story, a Pick of Destiny, some mandatory school reading, an uncomfortable anime, and an epic science fiction story. Finally we're joined by B. Elliot (Gordon Harper), who clarifies demon swarm logic, the consequences of bug crushing, his acrylic artwork, and the correct colours of the rainbow.

Kraken! With Brandon Knox.

Will and Madryn set sail into the waters of The Kraken! We dive into the Norse and Scandinavian history of this gigantic cephalopod, and track it's various sightings around the globe. This aquatic a-lister has also inspired numerous nautical films, tv shows, and video games, the newest NHL hockey team, a spiced rum, and a wonderfully titled song by The DreadNaughts. Will and Madryn fly into the realm of Fairies! We cover the wide range of these preternatural pixies, graceful goddesses, and animalistic abominations, and the modern superstitions of their homeland. These lifelong luminaries have brightened all sorts of pop culture: from family oriented franchises, to unnatural insects, and sexy streaming tv. Finally, we’re joined by The Tooth Fairy (Brianna Love) who uncovers the truth behind tooth collecting, the value of your baby teeth, and may or may not be making an army of Scandinavian warriors…

Creature Feature: Hayao Miyazaki!

Will and Madryn unpack the wonderful work of Hayao Miyazaki in another special Creature Feature episode! Love Spirited Away? Princess Mononoke? My Neighbor Totoro!? This is the episode for you. We look at his history in animation, his core values as a story teller, and most importantly, his incredible character and creature designs with Studio Ghibli! Will and Madryn sink our teeth back into Vampires, for our very first Deep Cuts episode!
